Aravind is a board member of QuEST Global, a company he co-founded in 1997 which is now a globally-recognized provider of outsourced engineering services.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from National Institute of Technology Karnataka and a master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Pennsylvania State University. He was recently conferred the ‘Young Achiever Award’ by the Indo-American Society.
MD & CEO,
Rajeev Kaul is the MD & CEO, Aequs Aerospace, responsible for the overall performance of the Aerospace vertical, driving business growth and expansion globally. He has been with Aequs since its inception and was instrumental in setting up the country's first aerospace manufacturing ecosystem.
With 25 years of rich industry experience, Rajeev has played a significant role in advancing Aequs' presence in India while setting up various subsidiaries and establishing Joint Ventures. For Rajeev, bringing new capabilities to the global manufacturing ecosystem while transforming Belagavi into an aerospace knowledge centre for India, is a vital mission in helping India realize it's global potential.
Rajeev also serves as a board member of JV companies of Aequs. Prior to joining Aequs, Rajeev was with QuEST Global providing support and guidance to operational leadership on financial matters. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Delhi University and is a qualified Chartered Accountant.
Amit is a renowned Global Operations expert with an impeccable career record in multinationals across the globe . He has three decades of Senior Executive responsibilities including Chief of Global Sourcing & Managing Director Hasbro Far East , Chief Purchasing Officer ( China) of Royal Philips NV and Chief Supply Chain Officer , Philips Lighting Asia Pacific. He has led turnarounds , growth and globalisation of organisations . He believes in clarity of vision , collaboration and relentless focus in execution. Most recently, he is credited to globalisation of Hasbro’s Supply Chain and pioneering Toy exports from India. He resides in Hong Kong and supports consumer companies in expanding and globalising their Supply Chain.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from National Institute of Technology Karnataka, India and a master’s degree from Indian Institute of Management , Calcutta, India. He is certified in APICS and Executive Leadership Program from Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, USA.
Chief Operating Officer
Walt Sirmans currently serves as Chief Operating Officer for Aequs Consumer, responsible for engineering, production, quality, and supply chain functions within Consumer’s toy manufacturing units. Prior to joining the Consumer business, Walt held a number of senior leadership roles within both Aequs Group and Aequs Aerospace including most recently as President, Global Strategy & Ventures. Walt joined Aequs in June 2011 as SVP of Global Sales and Strategy with additional leadership responsibilities for Engineering, Business Development, and Key Account Management.
Walt’s career spans over 35 years, the majority of which was spent in aerospace manufacturing and the aviation services market segments. Since 2002, he has held executive leadership positions with Sabreliner Corporation, GKN Aerospace, and Lockheed Martin’s Global Sustainment business. Walt began his career with Raytheon Technologies’ Pratt & Whitney unit where his last position was F135 Program Manager for the F-35. In 2001, his JSF propulsion team was among those honored with the prestigious Collier Trophy.
Walt holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. His professional education includes the Executive Integral Leadership program at the University of Notre Dame’s Mendoza School of Business and the Emerging Leaders Program at the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business.
Global People Function
Abraham Joseph is Vice President Human Resources (Global People Function) and is responsible for Talent Acquisition, Performance Management System, Learning & Development, Compensation & Benefit, and Talent Management. He has 20 years of experience in the areas of Human Resources, Sales & Marketing.
Abraham’s last assignment was with Flex, where he worked for 9 years and was responsible for all Human Resources and Branding initiatives for India Business Entities and HR functions for the Global Business Services centers located in India, China, Mexico and Europe. Prior to Flex, he worked with Tata AIG, Sify, Murugappa Group in the areas of Human Resources. His Sales & Marketing stints were with companies like Premier Auto Electric and Berger Paints India Limited.
Abraham holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resources & Personnel Management from XLRI, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing from the Apeejay School of Marketing.
P Madan Mohan
Industrial Relations & CSR
P Madan Mohan is Vice President – Industrial Relations & CSR. His responsibilities encompass Industrial Relations, Compliances, Administration and Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives for the company.
Madan Mohan brings more than 25 years of HR experience in leadership roles with organizations including BEML, UB Group, INDAL- IHEL, Lucas –TVS of the TVS Group and Biological E. Ltd. In his most recent role as Vice President of HR with the Aditya Birla Group – Grasim Industries, Madan Mohan provided strategic and operational HR support for the Group’s pulp and fibre business. Madan Mohan’s HR experience base includes HR strategy, HR systems and practices, organizational development & organizational behaviour, learning & development, implementing high performance cultures, industrial relations, corporate social responsibility and EHS. Highlights of his HR career include the successful development and signing of more than twelve long term wage agreements with various affiliated unions across India.
Madan Mohan holds a Master’s degree in personnel management & industrial relations from the TATA Institute of Social Science (TISS). He also holds a Master’s degree in economic history from the Central University of Hyderabad.
Vice President, Operations
Ananda Das is the Vice President - Operations, of the Consumer Division at Aequs. He brings over 32 years of experience in the field of manufacturing, process engineering, industrial engineering, technology, establishment of new product lines, total quality function, production planning and Marketing. He specializes in Precision Machining, Precision Grinding, Packaging and Supplier Development.
Ananda has served in various roles in manufacturing companies such as Timken Engineering & Research India Pvt. Ltd., D & H Shechron Electrode and Stylex India Pvt. Ltd. Prior to joining Aequs Consumer, he was heading Industrial Engineering and Technology Function at the Vadodara Plant of FAG India Ltd (Schaeffler Group).
With a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and an Executive MBA in General Management, Ananda is a certified Six Sigma Green belt. As a Lean leader, he has implemented TPM, Kaizen, Kanban, A3 and 5S techniques in the organisations he has served in.
Assistant Vice President
Commercial & Contracts
Suhas is responsible for the commercial strategy and contract management and has been with the organization for the past nine years. He has been instrumental in negotiating and executing complex commercial contracts with customers and suppliers. With exceptional knowledge and extensive experience of over 26 years, Suhas adroitly leads the complex commercial function.
Prior to Aequs, he worked with Demag Cranes & Components (I) Pvt Ltd. and Thermax Limited.
Suhas holds a Bachelor's degree in Engineering from Shivaji University in Kolhapur and a Diploma in Business Management from Pune University.
AVP, Business Development
Sreevatsa brings in 30 years of rich experience in various facets of engineering and process industry. He has been instrumental in establishing AEPL, a green field project, overseeing plant launch, certifications, recruitment of people, setting up plant structure and processes to scale up to higher volumes.
Prior to joining Aequs Consumer, Sreevatsa had served in Indian and MNC companies like RPG enterprise, ITC Filtrona, a JV between ITC and Filtrona UK, TE Connectivity (Earlier Tyco Electronics) in the Energy Segment and Tata BP Solar. He was instrumental in setting up plants, expansion projects and green field projects such as ITC Filtrona and Tyco Electronics. In Tyco Electronics, he facilitated migration of projects from high cost countries to India and was involved in expansion and green field projects.
Sreevatsa holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial and Production Engineering from BMS college of Engineering Bangalore and an MBA in General Management. Professionally, he is a trained Six-Sigma Green belt and Lean practitioner. He has also trained in ‘Finance for Non-Finance’ from CA institute.
Head of Finance
Harish Bang is the Head of Finance of Aequs Consumer. He is responsible for finance and accounts function. Harish joined Aequs in September 2012 as Assistant Manager- Finance and looked after Finance, Taxation and Treasury operations. He has been instrumental in streamlining and establishing key processes to support organizational growth. He is also engaged in project management for various organizational initiatives.
Before joining Aequs, Harish has worked with Aditya Birla Group as part of its Corporate Finance. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce from Karnataka University and is a qualified Chartered Accountant.
Rohit has a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Anna University Chennai, a Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering and an MBA from the US. He has lived in the US for 18 years, working with Hewlett Packard Medical Products and managing their Manufacturing Operations for Medical Supplies in Andover, MA. He returned to India in 1998 and ran his own business, Adeep Group of Companies, in the Auto Component Sector with presence in 7 locations and 1500 employees before selling it to the Private Equity firm, Actis, UK, in 2005.
Currently, Rohit supports the activities of European Private Equity firms and helps their portfolio companies do business in India through joint ventures, sourcing, business development, marketing and setting up of operations.
